A week FULL of miracles

Birthday for someone we're helping

Dear Family,

This has been a great first week with Elder Hawks. It started out with a pretty good Tuesday. O.K. an AMAZING Tuesday. There is a man here who has been investigating for the longest time. His name is Christian. He is 24 and he is engaged to a member here. Anyways he calls us saying he will be baptized on February 14th. I would love to show my emotion for how happy I am but there is no exclamation mark button. So we have everything planned. Then Sunday we found out the other ward has an activity and so we can't do it that day. So he decided to just do it the 7th. In 2 weeks we have a baptism.

Then last night we met with a guy that walked into church last week and said he wanted to meet because his friends encouraged him. He is getting baptized on the 21st. So things are going really well. This guys name is German and is from Peru.

Reyes with some members (last transfer)

We are just doing really well together. We had the most amount of member present lessons this week than any other week of my mission and we are still finding new people who have tons of potential. It's really nice to see this happening in the first week. We are also challenging each other to do things way out of the box. Last week I literaly stopped a man that had is back faced to me and was crossing the street. We literaly want to talk to everyone. It's  been nice.

It's nice that my comp also plays the guitar. We still have the ones from the mission home, every day we start comp study with a song and now we play it and sing. I/m just super excited for this transfer.

Well I hope you all had a great week. I love you all.

Transfered! ish

Hey family!

This week was transfers and it was pretty interesting. We knew my comp was going to be released as zone leader and so we were wondering what was going to happen. Soooo we both stayed but are no longer comps. I went with the other missionary, Elder Hawks, the blonde one I have a lot of pictures with and Elder Williams new comp is Elder Montague, the missionary from Rancho that flew out with me! So that's how I got somewhat transferred. I have to change apartments and visit entirly new people but still in the same ward. He and I are the zone leaders. He has a transfer less than me in the mission. He's from Sandy Utah and we are basically already the best friends ever.

This week went ok. We found out that our progressing investigator doesn't live in our area so we had to pass him on to other missionaries. But we did find a really good investigator! His name is Abraham and he is from Peru. He works sewing clothes and so he is always in his little shop and said we can pass by whenever. He is really interested so that will be good for them.

My new area has some really cool investigators that I already know. One is Christian he is engaged to a member and he wants to get baptized so that will happen soon. He is a really great guy, honestly future bishop. So I'm pretty excited for this transfer. It should go well.

Last night we did a musical devotional and it turned out really well. Elder Hawks and I played the guitar and sang "Oh, My Father." It turned out really well. We also sang a song together. A man that the sisters are teaching came. He is an artist and he drew my face and gave it to me. It is super cool! He is also a really funny man.

Well hope every one had a great week. Love you all!

Hey family!

Things are going really well. We had an amazing week this week!!

On Tuesday we were on our way to the mission home for a Leadership Counsel and while on the train we get a call. It was a guy named Roberto. He used to meet with the missionaries about a year ago but then moved. He recently moved back and Monday Night was thinking: "Where could he find people with good standards that he would like being around?" and then he thought... "THE MORMONS!" So, he called us. We have met three times already. He went to an activity with the YSA's and he has a date for the 7th of Feb. He is a super cool 23 year old Bolivian.

We have also been working really well with the members and bishopric and finally we were able to get some member references. We actually met with one. His name is Santiago. He is a YSA (Young Single Adult- it's a youth group in our church for those who are 18 and older) as well. My comp used to work in sales and one of the things they do to find future sales is give people a piece of paper and have them write names and numbers. So the member did it then invited us for food on Saturday and she brought him. He is so down to be taught the lessons and willing to come to church. We are really excited!

Marisa and Jerald are also doing really well. She was really sick this week so we couldn't meet. But she came to church this week. She also came last week. It's a mother and her son. Super cool.

It's really nice having some people to teach. We had some great miracles. Well hope you all had a great week. Love you!
